I got new glasses!

After almost two years of walking around with the same glasses, it was time for another pair! Firmoo had asked me before if I wanted to test out a pair of their glasses, but I was a bit hesitant. Firmoo is a website where they sell prescription glasses - that are quite trendy, if I may say so! - for stunningly low/very affordable prices. If you subscribe on their website, you can even get your first pair for free (so you only pay for the shipping). Sounds like an ideal Christmas present for yourself, right?

At first I didn't go in on the offer, because ordering glasses online without having the chance to try them on kinda felt like a big risk. But there's no need to think that, because Firmoo has this virtual try-on system on their site where you can upload a selfie to check if the type of glasses suit you. Of course I tried them all on. Here's a little selection of what a goofy, hung over Elisse looks like.

I decided to go with the glasses in the middle. They are this nice burgundy color and I really liked their round shape - reminded me a bit of an owl. So I clicked on "add to cart", measured my PD (= pupillary distance) & had the boyfriend doublecheck it, took out my prescription and filled everything in. I ordered them on November 20th and then the waiting began. I thought it would take a while for them to arrive at my place, but last Wednesday (so on December 3rd) I received them. Happy as a little kid, this is what I discovered in the package. I received a hard and soft case. The hard case contained the glasses. There was also a cleaning cloth in there, and the soft case contained a repair kit. Everything was carefully wrapped in a bubble envelope.

At first, I was a little scared the glasses would feel uncomfortable, or they would give me a headache. But none of that is true! As long as you measure your PD correctly, you shouldn't have any trouble. I also made sure the measurements of the glasses would fit me, since I didn't want to be gulped down by the glasses.

To complete this narcissistic overload on selfies post, here are a few more photos of what the glasses look on. I'm incredibly happy with them and feel so confident whenever I put them on. I have the feeling they really suit me as well. (The day after I got them, I put a selfie on Instagram and Marlou stated I reminded her of Mr. Owl (click), which I took as a major compliment :) )
