Hi lovelies, I'm back!

I'm currently in the middle of my autumn break, so I have heaps of time to spend on DIY'ing, photographing (my project 365 will be done this Friday!), spending time with the best friends, cutest cats & best bf in the world and of course planning in a ton of fresh posts for my blog. In my abscence I couldn't edit any photos on my own laptop, so slowly but surely I'm learning to work on a Mac.

A few months ago I bought a glass and porcelain pen from Pipoos, it then got lost when moving out, but a few weeks ago I found it so decided to spice up some plain ol' coffee mugs.

The bf is heavily coffee-addicted so why not give him a good start of the day? I went with extremely easy designs - but could still use some practice though - and wrote some fun words.

(holla fo' the gifs being back!)

Next up: other colors to make the mugs stand out a bit more? Or perhaps use some nailpolish to color them in?!

Take care and I'll talk to you verrryyy soon! Enjoy your Wednesday!
My computer sort of... crashed. Luckily the bf knows all about computers so I shouldn't be gone for too long.

In the mean time, you should make pancakes with banana & honey. Mmmmmmhhhhh!

Talk to you soon!
As I mentioned before (in a Snail mail Sunday post) I participated in the button swap hosted by Olga. My partner in crime turned out to be Zane, a wonderful young lady from Latvia. (A country I know SO little about, even though it's also situated in Europe)

Our "job" was to find out what the other person liked and gather buttons that she might like. I dove in my collection, even teared up a few failed refashions for their cute buttons and sent my package on its way to Zane. She mentioned she likes the colors pink & purple, hence the pinkish color theme. Also, she's a huge fan of cherries, so I made her a cherry stamp and added a cherry masking tape that I myself barely used. And she enjoys postcrossing, so I included some (handmade) postcards and paper scraps for Zane to use as well.

I had so much fun putting this package together, deciding and figuring out what my partner would like and what not :)

Last week I received my swap from Zane and I was so surprised by all the beautiful stuff she sent me. Everything was so earthy and beautifully wrapped. Zane sent me a few leaves to ressemble Golden Time (because all the leaves turn yellow in Autumn) that she decorated herself. I LOVE them. The buttons are all amazing and will definitely be put to good use in future sewing projects. The candies are - well, were because me and the bf ate them all - yummy! Also, the owl necklace, bookmark and lace are such nice touches. Thank you so very much, dear Zane.

Let me know if anyone would want to participate in some sort of button swap like this, I would be thrilled to organize one :)
It's October, that means time for another challenge! I've always wanted to be good at drawing, so what better excuse to be able to experiment than a challenge? The big DRAW-ing challenge is an initiative by Plutomeisje & Fenne. I'm drawing. Every day. In a theme. Alright, on to week one, shall we?!

5/31: sea animal

6/21: hero
I'll get this photo online by next week, because the drawing isn't finished yet!

I'm pretty proud of my cutesy octopussy, what's your favorite drawing? And are you participating as well?

Talk to you soon!

from Marlou:
Owl-themed mail from Marlou from a while back! She is now doing an internship as a journalist and even made her own calling cards. Looks so professional!

from Saar:
I had to wait a little while to receive my latest letter from Saar, because she sent it in a package. When the mailman didn't deliver my package - although I was at home, grmbl - I had to wait even longer and couldn't immediately pick it up at the post office. But oh, what a surprise. Saar sent me an amazing flower hair pin, yay!

from Zane:
Zane and I are partners in crime for the button swap Olga is hosting. Since Zane said she was probably going to send her swap pretty close to the deadline, she sent me a postcard (with a picture she made herself!) in advance. Such a pleasant surprise!

from Mary:
Aww, I was so thrilled when I received the most amazing letter ever: in a little booklet! Mary spoiled me once again with some cute stamps.

to Marlou:
I wrote back to Marlou to her new address, and couldn't resist adding some more Brussels vintage postcards for her little collection. They are just too damn awesome!

to Joanne:
A few weeks ago, Joanne sent me an e-mail and asked me if I was interested in a swap. She makes the cutest things and sells some of her favorite stuff on Facebook in her shop Hearts & Crafts (check it out here), so yes, of course I was in! Here's what I put together for her. I made a paper garland, bird stickers, a little notebook, added some washi tape, postcards, paper scraps, ... Hope it has arrived already!

to Saar:
I sent Saar a letter on Autumn-themed writing paper (made by the very talented Fabrizia) and made her a personal notebook.

to Mary:
Before I received the letter from Mary you can see in this post, I sent her this letter. I had a lot to tell her and added paper scraps, stickers, a paper flower and a handmade owl brooch. I decorated ordinary paper with washi tape and illustrations from magazines.

to Phara:
I'm quite ashamed to add this to my 'sent'-stack only now. Phara asked me a couple of months ago if she could buy a maxi dress I didn't quite like anymore. Of course, I said yes. Now, after all this time, it's finally been sent! Just in time for Autumn, haha. Oh, it seems I forget stuff quite fast.

Have an awesome Sunday evening! Talk to you soon!
