I was hopelessly behind last week and took a lot of photos, but not at all in the theme of that day. Maybe this challenge just isn't for me. But no sad face at this side of the screen, because I'm glad I tried and I WILL FINISH it!
16. Highlight of the day (hanging with zha boyfriend)

17. Round (the mandarin headed cat)

18. Looking inside (our mailbox = our house in miniature)

19. Ritual (waiting for the train, every morning/afternoon)

20. Autumn (autumn leaves ♥ )

21. Shoes (wearing my flower shoes to brighten the day)

22. Architecture (holy Mary)

23. Shadow

24. What's in your bag?

For the last pictures you'll have to wait until next week, when I'm back from Berlin! :)
P.S. Tips for things to do in Berlin (eat/drink/must-see/musea/cosy places/...) are more than welcome! Please leave them in the comments! Thank you! ♥
Talk to you soon!
Hi y'all! (I've always wanted to say this line.) Long time no see, huh?
Sorry for not blogging for a whole week (!), but life has been so hectic lately.. I promise next week will be better! I have a few fun posts planned in for you :) (because I'll be going to Berlin for the weekend to visit my dear friend Elise).
SENT OUT
I'm still a bit behind on answerring letters, but I'm slowly trying to catch up :)
to Nicole:
She sent me the prettiest stamps e-v-e-r so I just had to answer her letter :) My A4 included a letter (obviously), an origami heart bookmark & fabric tape. I'm looking forward to her reply!
to Elise:
A large notebook & a letter to Berlin, baby.

The envelopes (made out of magazine paper).

That's all for this week. I sent out a few more letters but they are probably still on their way :)
How was your (mail) week?
See you soon!
Hi!
I'm sorry for posting this late today, but I had a huge hangover (woops) from an awesome party yesterday evening, so I've been walking around like a zombie all day, not really in the mood to sit behind my computer :)
I did receive some awesome letters though, so without further ado, here they are!
RECEIVED
From Saar:
An envelope made out of a pizzabox, how cool is that?! I love the letters Saar sends me, I really do. And I admire her ability to write back so quickly.. :)
From Ely:
Post from Mexico! Look at that owl on the envelope, so cute! Those stamps are adorable, and look at the business card she made for her blog, such great artwork! (Bottom left on the photo) I'll reply asap!
From Marlou:
Ah Marlou with her pretty handwriting. I was really excited about her letter because they are so
cosy. I always grab a cup of tea when reading letters because it calms me and this one was no exception :) Look at that artwork, those illustrations are amazing!
How was your week? Did you do anything fun?
I made another A-line skirt, with the most beautiful flower fabric I've ever owned. I'm so happy with the way it turned out! I really like the colors of my outfit as well, so fall-like :-)
Bonus shots!
two outfitpictures made by Sophie Bell
By the way, the shoes (fake leather) and jacket (fake leather) are new, I bought them as items for the
"only buying 1 new item each month for a whole year". And I must say, the project gets easier as time goes by. I don't even know if I bought
anything new these past few months, apart from these shoes & jacket.
Talk to you soon!
This week has been really tough! I forgot about the challenge a few times, so I didn't exactly make the pictures for the theme that exact day. But I did make every picture, yay!
9. Green energy

10. Tourist (Mechelen, Malines, Malinas)

11. Motion (a friend of mine who sang at a birthday party)

12. Transport (my daily ride to school)

13. Surroundings (rainy day)

14. Hobby (making stamps)

15. Bird's eye view (cozy at home)
I made my own stationary! It's supposed to look like a 'fluffy owl', but it turned out rather... Well I don't really know what it looks like.
What do you think?

P.S. I'm so sorry about the awful quality of these photographs, don't know what happened with my camera/retouching skills but I'll try to fix it asap!
P.S.2: Do any of you guys have tips (& tricks) for 'upgrading' the quality of my stationary? I draw the owls with my Wacom tablet, but they seem so pixelated.. I'm looking for some experts here :)
See you Tuesday with an update on the photo challenge!
I finally found the time to take some photos of the last refashioned thing I made for the 2-week-Refashion Challenge.
It used to be an XXL checkered blouse I found at my local thrift shop (€1 at T2), but I made a skirt out of it! I used some leftover red fabric and elastic to make a waist band as well.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
(P.S. I'm wearing thrifted winter boots (faux-fur) I found at a thrift shop as well. They were only €6. Can't wait to properly wear them outside!)
Let me know what you think :)
Ta-dah! Finally the update on the Photo Challenge Tine organised. I have to admit it's harder than I would've thought before I started, but it's been much fun and I'm looking forward to the upcoming themes :)
1. Self portrait (the three wise monkeys)

2. Purple

3. Upside down

4. Hidden object (try to spot all 9 owls!)

5. On a roof

6. Animal

7. Meal
(I have to admit I cheated with this one.. This is what I prepared for dinner Saturday, because Sunday is always french fries day in my family and that's not as exciting as a marinated figs salad with walnuts and goat cheese, in my humble opinion.)

8. Slow shutter speed

For today's challenge, you'll have to wait another week!
Let me know in the comments if you're participating as well, I would love to check it out :) Talk to you soon!
First of all, I'm sorry for not keeping my promises about showing you my progress in the Photo Challenge, but I'll update you this Tuesday! Pinky promise!
SENT OUT
To Saar:
I made another little birdie book to accompany my letter to Saar and wrote her another long letter. (I must remember what I write about when sending them because I seem to forget every single time..)
RECEIVED
From Fab:
Fab's letters are always so much fun to read. And she includes so many goodies! You're too kind :) She wrote about making drastic study changes, tattoos, her favorite seasons (spring & autumn), having colored hair and she gave me some tips on improving the quality of my stationary. Thanks Fab!
From Elise:
My dear Elise finally found a place to live in Berlin and sent me this cute card that I'm going to hang in my room.
From Maxime & Anouk:
To be honest, I didn't expect to get mail from these two, but it definitely made my day! Maxime & Anouk are two of my old classmates and they are currently studying in Alicante (Spain). That card is the cutest.

P.S. I'm a little behind at answerring letters, so bare with me :)
Have a nice week and see you Tuesday!
