HI there!

As promised I'll show you the totebags I made for some of my penpals, one for a giveaway, one for myself and one for my dear granny!

I made a few reversible totebags before (here I made owl totebags & here I made one with hearts for my mom), but never 5 in a time span of 2 weeks. Phew. You can see the one I recycled from a thrifted blouse here.

I made them all using this tutorial by Skip to my Lou.

This one arrived at Romée's place to thank her for sending me owlsome birthdaymail :) I hope she likes it! The rose fabric is from den Action (a Dutch shop), the yellow & green fabric is second hand.

A jungle bird present for Saar, who celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago! The bird fabric was leftover from this skirt and the beige fabric came from my granny.

One for my sweet granny, who donates the most amazing fabrics for my projects :) The pink fabric came from her stash and the flower fabric is repurposed and came from an old dress. She was pleased!
ps: sorry for not ironing! I hate ironing, as you can probably tell..

And last but not least is this reversible totebag for the lovely Fab, who also celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago :) I like the bright blue thread on this one. Fabrics from the granny!

So, what do you think? Which one do you like most?
In March I...

» drank the first Desperados of the year, outside on the terrace on a lovely spring day :)

» got sick of the snow, few days after those tropical temperatures. But look how nice the world looks covered in a little snow. (And coffees/hot cocos are even nicer when it's cold outside)

» sent out and received quite some snail mail (1, 2 & 3)

» participated in a quiz and WON! Dreamteam represent! (Well, we actually won the prize for drinking the most booze... But anyway, we had loads of fun!)

» made myself peacock feather brooch!

» took the bf out on a photography trip and let him pose for my magazine cover. Here's a little preview of what it will look like (with me as a model instead of him ;-) )

» was angrysad/happy at the same time while shooting pictures.

» cuddled with these cutiepies.

» refashioned a tanktop and skirt to a spring dress & transformed a blouse into a totebag, both succesfully!

» had a lovely get together with some ex-schoolmates :)

» made delicious couscous with raisins, feta & sun-dried tomatoes.

» shared some of my top tips for what you should eat&drink/do/visit when you are in Antwerp.

» had some cosy evenings with the lovely ladies from our sewing bee/naaikransje!

» went to the press conference hosted by UPR for Veritas' new fabrics :)

» had some fun with friends.

Can you still remember how your March was? I'm curious, so let me know in the comments!

Lots of love & talk to you soon!
Hi guys!

I'm sorry it's been a while, but I've been quite busy. On April 1st (no joke) the boyfriend got the keys to his appartment so we had a lot of painting, moving, furnishing & decorating to do. I'll show you some pictures when we are happy with the way it looks - there's still boxes everywhere nowadays..

On to today's matter: a giant update on the snail mail I sent out and received in the past weeks. Enjoy!

to Romée:
I sent Romée a little something to thank her for the birthdaymail she sent me! I'll show you in detail in another post, but it contained a reversible totebag and some handmade bird stickers. Hope she likes it!

to Mary:
Yay, my letter arrived! Mail to the US takes a while to travel and arrive at its destination. I sent her a flower postcard, a handmade paper garland, some stickers, a polaroid from the snow in our backyard, a handmade heart stamp & of course a letter! (written on stationary made by the very talented Fabrizia)

to Fab:
Fab is such a sneaky one! She celebrated her birthday a few weeks back and I didn't even know - or didn't remember(?). Anyway, I wanted to surprise her with some birthdaygifts so I made her a reversible totebag as well - will show it to you in another post (;-)), a paper garland to hang in her room , a sewn birthdaycard and a looooot of handmade bird stickers!

from Saar:
Saar sent me a lovely letter, card and selfknitted earringhangerthing. Comes in handy for my big collection! Thanks Saar :-) (and yes: fuck snow indeed! I'm so happy spring is finally here! ❤ )

from Andrea:
I won De groeten van Max and received a beautiful handdrawn card by Andrea, and this lovely tooth brooch. Ooooh my collection of brooches is growing so quickly! Thank you dear Andrea!

That's it for this week, folks. For the Dutchies: enjoy the rest of your summery evening :-) And for everyone else: I hope the weather is as nice as it is here!

Talk to you soon! (this time for real)
