Eind september trok ik er met het lief tussenuit voor een kleine week. Bestemming? Ibiza baby! Bij veel mensen staat Ibiza bekend als feesteiland, maar wij gingen vooral voor de rust en de prachtige natuur. En die hebben we gevonden!
We huurden een Vespaatje en trokken vanuit ons hotel over het hele eiland. Zalig, die vrijheid om niet te hoeven rekenen op anderen zelfs als je op verlof bent (al raad ik een goeie GPS ook aan, we zijn één keer verloren gereden en boy o boy, het huilen stond me toen nader bij dan het lachen...)
Bekijk ons vakantiefilmpje als je zin hebt om eens goed te lachen (ik ga gigantisch op mijn bek tijdens het SUP-pen) en om een sfeerimpressie te krijgen van Ibiza. In een volgende blog geef ik u graag wat tips van de plekjes die wij bezocht en goedgekeurd hebben!

Allez, ik mag het eindelijk verkondigen: ik ga mijn externe stage voor de opleiding Journalistiek in de Filipijnen doen! Achter de schermen ben ik er al van vorig jaar april mee bezig, en het werd steeds echter en échter. Ondertussen zijn de vliegtickets geboekt, heb ik mijn visum aangevraagd en volgende week krijg ik mijn vaccinaties. Spannend!

Begin maart is het zo ver, dan stap ik in het vliegtuig en zal ik twee maanden in het hectische Manila verblijven. Veel over de inhoudelijke invulling van mijn stage kan ik jullie niet vertellen (omdat ik dat zelf nog niet weet), maar ik zal er meelopen met de redactie van een alternatieve krant. Ik heb er al suuuuperveel zin in, al zal ik mijn liefje, familie en poekies wel missen. Het zal een onvergetelijke ervaring worden, en ik ga er met volle teugen van genieten!
Voor zover het mogelijk is probeer ik jullie natuurlijk up-to-date te houden! After all, deze blog is mijn uitlaatklep en door de jaren heen ook een soort dagboekje geworden. Ik deel graag lief en leed (maar vooral lief) dus als jullie het fijn vinden om te lezen, probeer ik mijn perikelen en ervaringen als niet-filipino in de Filippijnen hier neer te schrijven.
En hoe het verder zal verlopen met bij gebrek aan beter? Awel, op vrijdag zal er telkens een voorgefabriceerde blogpost verschijnen, en verder zullen we wel zien!

English// I'm kind of freaking out that I finally get to tell you guys, but I'm going to do my internship for Journalism in the Philippines! I will be leaving in the beginning of March and will be staying in Manila for two months. It's definitely going to be an experience I will never forget. I can hardly wait!

Hello friends! I'm sorry for my unannounced absence this past week. School is seriously taking over my life. I hope that by next week I'll be a bit used to it so I can make some more time for blogging, because I definitely miss it.
In case you have no clue what the title of this post means: at the beginning of September I went to Marrakesh, Morocco, together with my dear boyfriend. We went away for a week to get some rest, to enjoy the sun & each others company and to drink cocktails. In general, we just wanted to get away from the routine that was creeping into our lives. And it worked! We met another couple during our trip & had loads of fun with them. We made a few trips to the city center and got mesmerized by the souks and all the activities that were going on everywhere. But overall, we luxuriated in all the waterslides that the aquapark next to our hotel had to offer. Amazing!
I only made a few pictures (I didn't even take my Canon with me, to be honest), but I did make a little movie with footage from both our iPhones and a tiny underwater camera. The quality of the camera isn't that great, but it sure was worth the money. Just make sure to take a lot of batteries with you, because this thing guzzles batteries like crazy! The selfiescreen on the front is very useful to (indeed) take selfies. Hah, who knew? ;-)

A few weeks ago me and my family took a trip to the lovely island Curaçao. We had a blast, and here I finally am with a little impression of our holiday. The pictures and little movie I made speak for themselves, so enjoy!

Two weeks ago the bf and I decided to go camping (yup, that's another one on my 22 before 23 list!). I had heard that Calais (France) is a wonderful place to visit. It is quiet, has a rock beach and a ferry to Dover. We just wanted to get out of the apartment for a few days to spend some quality time together.
I booked a camping spot and the next morning we packed our bags and drove to Escalles, a tiny village near Calais.
The beach is just gorgeous. Look at those massive rocks!
We took strolls by the sea. So lovely. Especially when this pretty boy strikes a pose.
Cooking a delicious pasta & we had to picknick because we forgot to bring chairs. Or a table. Or a fitting mattress. Or board games.. But at least we had each others company ;)

Unfortunately, after a few days we packed our bags and left. There wasn't that much to do, we weren't that prepared (woops) and the bf's back couldn't really handle it any longer. all photos made by me
