Twee weken geleden ging ik nog eens rommelmarkten. Ochot, wat kan dat deugd doen om weer eens tussen alle rekken te snollen als het al een tijd geleden is. Goegekregen weet er altijd een feestje van te maken, het mooie weer in het Stadspark maakte de dag alleen nog maar mooier.
Ik tikte er een uilenbloesje op de kop voor een luttele €4 (oorspronkelijk van Zara) en minimale vierkante oorstekers voor €1.
Daarna was het tijd om op de geliefde Bredabaan in Merksem de
Kilomeet en
Kringwinkel te plunderen. Na heel wat zoeken in de boekensectie vond ik deze 4 toppers (het zelfhelpboek kon ik niet laten liggen dankzij Bridget Jones' Diary) die een fijne plaats krijgen in de boekenkast. Volgende week, op 15 oktober, is het trouwens weer dag van de kringwinkel! Ik ben uiteraard weer van de partij, in de Kroonstraat worden planten verkocht, hiep hiep! In de Kilomeet, waar je dus een vaste prijs per kilo of per meter betaalt, vond ik deze geweldige vaas die ik prompt omtoverde tot terrarium voor enkele van mijn luchtplantjes én een mooi retro schaaltje met vogeltjes op.
Op diezelfde Bredabaan is sinds enige tijd ook een
Rekhet. Fantastisch concept waarbij je in de winkel een rek voor een bepaalde tijd kan huren en er kan verkopen wat je maar wil, zonder dat je effectief zelf in de winkel moet staan. Elke keer als ik er passeer kan ik niet met lege handen naar buiten komen. Een mooie tweedehandse gele hoed, een paar pakjes Fimo
(die ik meteen gebruikte om deze granieten juwelenschaaltjes te maken).

I made a few reversible totebags before (

here I made one with hearts for my mom), but never 5 in a time span of 2 weeks. Phew. You can see the one I recycled from a thrifted blouse

Romée's place to thank her for sending me owlsome birthdaymail :) I hope she likes it! The rose fabric is from
den Action (a Dutch shop), the yellow & green fabric is second hand.
A jungle bird present for
Saar, who celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago! The bird fabric was leftover from
this skirt and the beige fabric came from my granny.
One for my sweet granny, who donates the most amazing fabrics for my projects :) The pink fabric came from her stash and the flower fabric is repurposed and came from an old dress. She was pleased!
ps: sorry for not ironing! I hate ironing, as you can probably tell..
And last but not least is this reversible totebag for the lovely
Fab, who also celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago :) I like the bright blue thread on this one. Fabrics from the granny!

How was your week? Are you all ready to celebrate Easter? Tomorrow the bf gets the keys to his appartment :) so exciting times coming up! On Monday we'll move all his stuff out of his current place. And after that it's my time to shine: decorating time!
In other news: I'm on a refashion roll! I had an old grey tanktop with holes at the bottom, and a floral skirt (prettiest fabric ever!) that wasn't in such good condition either. I simply stitched them together and ta-daaaah: new spring dress is born!
I paired the dress with an owl brooch that my sister got me and a thrifted belt.

Voilà , ik licht geire een tipje van de sluier. Velen van jullie raadden juist! Ik maakte de voorbije weken nogal een massaproductie aan omkeerbare tassen. En zo'n tas steekt héél snel in mekaar, op een uurtje maak ik er twee. De
tutorial van Skip to my Lou is superduidelijk, dus pinnen die handel!
Ik maakte natuurlijk eerst eentje voor mezelf, want 't was nogal lang geleden dat ik mij nog eens aan een totebag had gewaagd. (Zie hier de

Als basis nam ik dit hemd dat ik in T2 op de kop tikte voor €1. Ik behield de voor- en achterkant van het hemd en stikte de knoopjesrij dicht. Klaar voor gebruik! Het blauwe stofje vond ik op zolder bij
de bomma. De borstzakjes zijn suuuperhandig, daar kunt ge nu eens echt veul in kwijt sé!

A lot of you guessed the sneak peek photo revealed details of a totebag, and you are right! These last few weeks I kinda went crazy and made a lot of reversible totebags! This is a really fast project, you can make one from scratch in about half an hour.

I made a few of these reversible totebags before.
Here I made 2 owl totebags &
here I made one with hearts for my mom.
I made this one for myself, using a short sleeved shirt from T2 for €1. The blue fabric I got from my granny. I repurposed the front & back of the shirt, sewing down the buttons to keep them closed. Give me a thumbs up for the pockets that can now serve for little trinkets :)
When all other totebags have arrived at their rightful new owners I'll show you those ones as well! :)

I finally found the time to take some photos of the last refashioned thing I made for the 2-week-Refashion Challenge.
It used to be an XXL checkered blouse I found at my local thrift shop (€1 at T2), but I made a skirt out of it! I used some leftover red fabric and elastic to make a waist band as well.

(P.S. I'm wearing thrifted winter boots (faux-fur) I found at a thrift shop as well. They were only €6. Can't wait to properly wear them outside!)
